Fostering Success & Significance Program
Fostering Success and Significance (FSS) empowers, encourages and equips former foster youth as they navigate their college years. We offer relational, financial and mental health services to support students as they reach their full potential. We also help students build relationships with caring members of the community to provide additional support and encouragement as students choose a career path and plan for the future.
What the program includes:

Scholarship
Students receive a stipend each semester. In addition they are compensated for attending workshops and reading books.

Books to Read
Reading is an invaluable way to learn and retain information. Compensation is provided per book read and reported from the FSS book list.

Community Service
Each student will complete four hours of community service each semester. We'll help match you or you can choose your own project.

Mental Health Services
Mental health counseling, up to 20 sessions, is provided free of charge to all FSS students.

Mentor
If desired, students are paired with a mentor to provide them with encouragement, guidance and support.

Job Etiquette Training
Students are offered multiple opportunities to practice interviews and other "soft" skills needed to secure a job after graduation.

Building Relationships
FSS is intentional about exposing our students to new experiences. We may go bowling, see Christmas lights or go out to
dinner—doing it together as a community.

Workshops
Students will attend workshops on topics such as career exploration, financial literacy, personal growth, creating an elevator pitch or resume building. Students are compensated for attending.
